It’s that time of the month: Exam time!

Our exam in Strategy is coming up this afternoon and that only means one thing for me; maximum exposure to my course material! 🙂

I don’t dare to say that i have good feelings about this one as i don’t want to jinx the bejesus out of my chances for a great grade, but i feel at some sort of ease. Here’s hoping for the right questions!

When you realize that you’ve arrived 2hrs too early…

…there’s nothing else to do than crack the coffee and get to it!

Had an outdated schedule in my phone calendar which allowed me to get to school 2hrs before lecture. Yeesssshhh. Anyways; i might aswell read up on todays lecture material.

When the news coincide with your studies!

So the past few days i’ve been deep entrenched in my textbooks and lecture notes in International economics, as we’re having the exam for this course this coming Friday. It’s an interesting course all around, i’ve particularly enjoyed (yes, enjoyed!) the economic history and exchange rates regimes parts of the course.

Anyways, as i was browsing around brtri1Bloomberg’s site i came across this article that suits what i’ve been reading the past days almost eerily. It’s an article with a bit of background on capital controls and the Obstfeld-Taylor trilemma. Sometimes the planets just line up i guess 😉

Take a look at the article here if you feel in need of a slice of capital wisdom this Wednesday.

Entering the last week..

So here we are at the last week of school and studies before the summer break. The final exam (in financial management/accounting) is on Friday, and whether i like it or not i’m bound to the books more or less every available moment this week.

I would lie if i said that it’s all rosy, but hey, you don’t always love your job right? You do what you need to and that’s that.

Can’t wait to be sitting with the exam finally in front of me on Friday, really…

The long lost update!

I’ve been walking around with this nagging feeling for a couple of days now that I need to update my blog…time to remedy that issue right now! The thing is that I’ve been quite busy as of late as the spring semester (and my first year at Uni!) is approaching its last exam. It feels so great to be at this point It has to be said…I soon have one year of university studies under my belt; fantastic!

Yesterday I started looking at the possibilities for one or two semesters abroad. This is something that has been part of my plans all along, to combine my studies at the school with a period of experience in the US (preferably). I would be leaving for the fifth and possibly the fourth term (if I get real lucky) which would give me all in all one year of studies in the US (whole of 2015). We’ll see, I need to do a lot more research with regards to the curriculum and so on still, but I do feel hopefully and very good about this prospect…stay tuned!

In other news I visited my extended family up in the north of Sweden at the beginning of this month, which was great and a damn lot of fun. I don’t get to meet my closest cousins all too often and I’m always very happy to get the opportunity. The weather was a fair bit more chilly than it was down here in the south (it even snowed when I left!), but it was great stuff anyways. I look forward to go back in the future, don’t know when though.

ImageRight now I’m very anxious to get the results from our latest exam in financial management! We had the exam the evening before I left to the north and the results are due tomorrow…I just want to get the results and hopefully be able to count this one home and focus fully on the accounting course we are in right now.

That’s it for right now, time to get some evening grub!

Cheerio!

The Easter Special!

After a thoroughly enjoyable easter that included lots of good times with my pals i am now sitting on the bus home from school. Today is officially a national holiday but me and my awesome project group in financial management decided to meet up today to get work done on our upcoming case presentation this Wednesday. We got a lot done in the few hours we sat with it, and now i’m heading home to a relaxing bath. It shall be great since i left home in a hurry today (after a late night last night!).Image

Weather has been absolutely awesome this easter and i sure hope it continues to be! Ain’t nothing like the bright, sunny days of summer approaching…

No rest this Sunday..

Sundays and weekends are usually synonomous with leisure and lazy times but that is not the case for me this particular Sunday. This is what i have in front of me right now; a desk full of financial control scribblings!

The group project that we have in this particular course stole quite a bit of my personal study time this past week so i decided to gather some lost ground now during the weekend instead. But make no mistake; i’m working in a leasurily pace…after all it’s still weekend.
